Two of the longest running movie franchise in the cinema; Enteng Kabisote (formerly known as Okay Ka Fairy Ko) and Ang Tanging Ina merge for the 2011 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF). Having the title Enteng ng Ina Mo, Star Cinema, M-Zet TV Productions, APT Entertainment Production and Octo Arts Films brings Enteng Kabisote (Vic Sotto) and his magical family goes inside to the lives of a single mother named Ina Montecillo (Ai Ai delas Alas), who raises 12 children (her child and grand children) in order to save Engkantasya and the world. Enteng ng Ina Mo will be showing in all cinemas nationwide beginning December 25, 2011 (Christmas Day) and it was directed by Tony Y. Reyes.
During the interview of Vic Sotto he says that the concept was presented to him when he was doing the Pak! Pak! My Dr. Kwak! with Bea Alonzo and Zaijian Jaranilla, a comedy film under the same production group that handles the Enteng ng Ina Mo. According to him he was totally amazed on how the fantasy world of Enteng can be merged with the dramatic comedy life of Ina. Vic mentioned that during the first few tapings they can still feel awkwardness because the two movies became strong competitors during the past MMFF. But after few tapings Vic claims that it was fun working with the Tanging Ina team especially Ai Ai where they enjoyed most of their scenes and end up with a good laugh.
The fantasy-comedy film Enteng ng Ina Mo is a family-centered project of Star Cinema, M-Zet TV Productions, APT Entertainment Production and Octo Arts Films where Enteng needs to defend Engkantasya and the world after evil fairy Satana (Bing Loyzaga) abducted Ina Magenta (Amy Perez). In order to maintain the balance in the both world, Faye Kabisote (Gwen Zamora) was forced to substitute for her mother while Enteng was placed under a powerful evil spell by Santana to fall in love with another woman and there he met Ina.
Ina welcomes Enteng to her life and her family hoping that he’s the answer to her prayers and not knowing that he already has a family. While on the other hand, Enteng will be bringing Ina and the rest of her family on a journey to rescue Ina Magenta and save Engkantasya.
