After Feng Shui, Sukob, and Dalaw, Kris Aquino returns to the big screen with another horror film entitled Segunda Mano. This is a Star Cinema, Agostodos Pictures, and CineMedia’s entry for 2011 Metro Manila Film Festival. Tagged as the Philippine Horror Queen, Kris Aquino will be joined by Angelica Panganiban, Bangs Garcia, Jhong Hilario, Helen Gamboa and Dingdong Dantes. This project marks Dingdong’s first time to work with Star Cinema. The film was directed by Joyce Bernal and written by Joel Mercado. It will be shown in all cinemas nationwide beginning December 25, Christmas Day.
Segunda Mano (Second Hand) follows the story of Mabel Domingo (Aquino), the owner of a high-class, but creepy, antique shop, only wants herself and her mother to move on from the tragic past of losing her sister as she carries the guilt of causing her death. She meets Ivan Galvez (Dantes), a rich and successful architect who only wants to find the perfect wife and mother for his young daughter Angel to finally have a complete and happy family after his ex-wife left for him for another man. Since Ivan’s proposal, Mabel is haunted by an unknown ghost who seems to endanger everyone around her. As the terror escalates, she discovers an unexpected twist that will test her love for Ivan.
Segunda Mano is one of the seven entries at the 37th Metro Manila Film Festival including Enteng ng Ina Mo, My Househusband (Ikaw Na!), Shake Rattle & Roll 13, Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow (Kahapon, Ngayon, Bukas), Ang Panday 2 and Manila Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story.
