It was in 1994 when I first saw The Lion King and that time all animations of Walt Disney were in 2D. Good thing that they re-release this beautiful and inspiring movie on the big screen and now on 3D to cater more audience especially the younger generation. The movie will be available in all cinemas nationwide beginning December 14 and on 3D format only.
The animation film that talks about family, courage and freedom still has the voices of Matthew Broderick as Simba, Nathan Lane (Timon), Ernie Sabella (Pumbaa) and Rowan Atkinson (Zazu). The magic of the movie is still there and more because of the 3D effects that made the images sharper and clearer. I always enjoy the Circle of Life on 3D it is very majestic and moving. Also Hakuna Matata was very colorful and fun and kids who will be watching it on 3D will really says that it was great that Disney re-releases this kind of movie.
The Lion King 3D will be on a limited time only in all cinemas beginning Dec 14. It will run for only 2 weeks just before the Metro Manila Film Festival 2011, so catch Simba and the rest of the animals of Africa as they protect the Pride Rock.
