In its 17th year, the Jollibee Maaga ang Pasko campaign is now taken to another level where as the whole family is encourage to be part of this annual gift giving project. The campaign was headed by actor and a father of two Mr. Aga Muhlach and it kicked of in different SM Malls in Manila, Pampanga, Naga, Cebu and Cagayan de Oro. Families from those cities participated and hang their symbolic pledges on the Maaga Tree.
Celebrity couple Vince and Patricia Hizon with their kids took part of this campaign as they pledged to continue spreading happiness and cheer this Christmas by preparing meals for children and families in need and organizing parties in orphanages and homes for the elderly. They will also organize basketball clinics for children during the Holiday season. Patricia likes the idea of Maaga ang Pasko because it has made it easy for families to reach out and share their blessings where Jollibee becomes the bridge between those who want to help out and the people who are in need.
While the Awardees of the 1st Jollibee Family Values Awards joined this campaign in their respective cities, there’s the Lee Family of Sorsogon where they pledge 200 kids in their barangay for a Christmas dinner treat. While the Mercado family from Metro Manila vowed to make this Christmas a memorable one for kids living near the family-owned resort in Laguna by organizing a swimming party for the underprivileged children. The Depla family of Pampanga pledged to do a feeding program for malnourished children. The Francisco family of Lucena, Quezon signified their intent to continue their Christmas tradition of feeding less-privileged kids by conducting a Christmas feeding program and donating books to 200 children in Quezon. The Suplido family of Silay City hopes to take their charitable initiatives a step further this year by inviting friends and classmates to join them as they give gifts and sing to children in hospitals. The Cartojano family from Cagayan de Oro promised to start a family values blog, promote it worldwide and support the Maaga ang Pasko in the children’s respective schools.
With this project, Jollibee empowers each family to extend their love and blessing to other Filipinos who are in need. The Maaga ang Pasko project aims to toys, books, or clothing for donations to their partner orphanage and communities. For those who wanted to share their blessings and donate they just need to visit the nearest Jollibee stores and drop their toys, books and old clothes at the donation box. Let’s make this Christmas more meaningful, share you blessings and share that love to all.
