In line with celebration of the 50th anniversary of World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and 15 years of its Philippine office, they are opening their “Greener at 50” online auction to raise funds that will help them on their environmental education and conservation project. This project is in partnership with the eBbay Philippines where it hosted online auctions for various charity and advocacy institutions including United Nation Children Fund (UNICEF) and World Food Programme (WFP). The eBay Page for the WWF Greener at 50 is www.ebay.ph/wwfgreenerat50.
Most of the items available for auction were donated by those who supported and believed WWF in their works in conserving the environment and reaching out to everyone in informing them on how to be responsible in using the resources and taking care of the nature. Aside from the items donated by celebrities and supporters, they are nature trip packages that are available for those who wanted to experience the beauty of nature and more open to the idea of how to preserve it for the future generations.
As of now a handful of items are now uploaded on the eBay Philippines page and for auction. But there will be more items and packages coming in the future that will excite everyone and worth bidding for. Proceeds for this online auction will be use in various areas where WWF-Philippines is working including environmental education, marine and forest conservation and protection.
