After the successful release of their internet tablets, Archos officially launches the G9 Tablets in the market that is Android™ 3.2 Honeycomb powered and 3G capable. The Archos G9 Tablets has two available sizes; 8-inch Archos 80 G9 Tablet and 10-inch Archos 101 G9 Tablet. Both G9 Tablets has a standard version: OMAP™ 4 smart multi-core ARM CORTEX A9 at 1GHz and Turbo version: OMAP™ 4 smart multi-core ARM CORTEX A9 from 1.2GHz to 1.5GHz (at start of 2012). What’s good with this is that for gamers and multimedia aficionados they can maximize the use of these tablets to experience 3D effects in HD with its 3D OpenGL (ES 2.0) feature.
In terms of storage Archos 80 G9 Tablet and Archos 101 G9 Tablet have a 250GB hard disk drive and a flash memory of 8-16 GB with a microSD Slot. It has a build in kick stand for support when watching videos. It also has a built in speaker, microphone, GPS, G-Sensor and Compass. It uses Lithium Polymer battery extends up to 36 hours music playtime, 7 hours video playtime and 10 hours of internet navigation. Power adapter/charger is included in the package.
Archos 101 G9 Tablet has a dimension of 276 mm x 167 mm x 15.6 mm (10.86 x 6.59 x 0.61 inch) – 755g (27.7 oz), while the Archos 80 G9 Tablet 226 mm x 155 mm x 14.7 mm (8.90 x 6.11 x 0.58 inch) – 599g (21.9 oz). Both are WI-FI capable and created a G9 3G Stick that is compatible in any broadband SIM and easy to install and slide at the 3G stick slot of Archos G3 Tablets.
