In celebration of digital and emerging filmmaking in thePhilippines, Cinema One brings back Cinema One Originals in its 7th year. There are 10 finalists that includes Shireen Seno’s Big Boy, Ivy Universe Baldoza’s Mga Anino sa Tanghaling Tapat, Earl Bontuyan’s Sa Ilalim ng Tulay, Victor Villanueva‘s My Paranormal Romance, Mes de Guzman‘s Sa Kanto ng Ulap at Lupa, Dennis Marasigan’s Anatomiya ng Korupsyon, Gutierrez ‘Teng’ Mangansakan II’s Cartas de la Soledad (Letters of Solitude), Antoinette Jadaone ‘s Six Degrees of Separation From Lilia. Sari Dalena’s Ka Oryang and Brandon Relucio and Ivan Zaldarriaga’s Di Ingon Nato (Not Like Us). All films will be showing at the Shangri-La Mall Cineplex until November 15, 2011.
Last November 13 at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium inRCBCPlaza,MakatiCity, and Cinema One officially unveils the winners of the 2011 Cinema One Originals. Here are the complete names that made it to the top:
- Best Picture: “Ka Oryang”
- Best Director: Sari Dalena (“Ka Oryang”)
- Best Actor: Bong Cabrera (“Sa Ilalim ng Tulay”)
- Best Supporting Actor: Michael Bonapos (“Sa Ilalim ng Tulay”) and Jojit Lorenzo (“Anatomiya ng Korupsiyon”)
