One of the things that we avid followers of Starbucks always look forward on the 3rd day of November is the release of their limited edition Starbucks Coffee Philippines Planner. Now on its 9th year, coffee lovers will be flocking Starbucks again collecting their stickers in order to redeem their planner. This year Starbucks will be releasing five (5) unique covers that will follow this year’s theme “Starbucks Shared Planet”, designs includes Poplar, Bamboo, Cherry, Spruce and Oak. The Starbucks 2012 Planner will also have the new logo of Starbucks that uses Trotec Laser to emboss or print the image clearly.
This time the planner is smaller than the last year’s designs to make it more handy and easy to carry. Each planner comes with respective pouch with colors almost similar to the cover design. It has a bookmarker, and six coupons with respective dates of usage. The calendar is more compact to make planning easy and has a summary in every start of the month to make it easier for its owner to plan his or her activities.
In order to redeem the planner, they will need to complete the required stickers. There are two options: first it to order nine (9) Christmas beverages plus eight (8) core beverages except bottled drinks and to collect 17 stickers. This year’s Christmas beverages include Peppermint Mocha, Toffee Nut Latte and Cranberry White Chocolate Mocha, all are available in hot, frappe and blended ice. The second option is to purchase 23 core beverages only except bottled drinks to collect 23 stickers where they can exchange for the Starbucks Planner 2012.
The Starbucks Planner 2012 theme follows to the commitment of the company to fulfill their corporate social responsibilities. Their CSR campaign includes:
- Ethical Sourcing – Starbucks assures the materials and equipments used in making their planners are Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified. It means that their resources to make the 2012 planner came from trees that is properly cut and replaced.
- Environmental Stewardship – 70% recycled papers were used in the inner pages of the planner.
- Community Involvement – Being an advocate of childhood care and development Starbucks Coffee Philippines partners with UNICEF and created a campaign called SparkHope. For every redeemed 2012 planner a donation will be given to SparkHope.
The collecting of stickers and redemption of the Starbucks 2012 Planner will start on November 3, 2011 until January 8, 2012. A reminder for those who will collect the stickers, make sure that the sticker is placed properly on the card and it should not be removed and placed to other card or else it will be considered void, also this year’s planner will have serial codes to ensure authenticity of the product and monitoring to avoid reselling and reproduction.
So be ready to collect your stickers to redeem that most anticipated Starbucks planner!
