Few days after the release the iPhone 4s, Apple officially releases iOS 5 that includes mo0re that 200 new features and apps that fits to iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. It gives device users to enjoy their smartphones, and tablets more with applications to explore with. New features include iMessage, Newsstand, Notification Center, Reminders, Wi-Fi Sync, AirPlay Mirroring, and PC Free. While Twitter, Camera, Photos and Safari applications were improved to catch up to the needs of every iPhone, iPod and iPad users.
Here are some of the features that Mac users will be excited to see in iOS 5:
Notification Center – Instead of getting notifications individually, this feature gives you the list of all kinds of information you need by just wiping down from the top of any screen. You will get the list of new email, texts, friend requests, missed calls, calendar reminders, and more. Users can personalized the details he or she wanted to see on the notification center including the weather, social network updates and latest news from the stock. It will minimize interruptions from what you are currently doing with your mobile phones. Pop ups will be replaced with brief notification on top of the screen. While the notification center can be displayed at the lock screen and with a swipe users can see the full list of notifications.
iMessage – With this device, iPad and iPod Touch users can now join the conversation with their iPhone user friends. With this messaging service that is available in iOS 5, device owners can send unlimited text massages to all iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch users while connecting to Wi-Fi or 3G connection. With this application, everyone can now send text, images, locations, contacts and videos faster and it has group messaging option to make conversation fun and interactive as possible.
Newsstand – For those who enjoys reading magazines and newspapers via app subscriptions on their devices, iOS 5 has Newsstand to organize it. This application will contain all the news and magazine subscriptions in a shelf-like order. All new subscription will go directly on this application for faster access and organized list.
PC Free – iOS 5 uses iCloud to help iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch users to back up and restore their devices without the need of connecting to their Mac of PC. Aside from that it also gives the user the liberty to edit photos or adding new email folders straight from their device. To use this feature, users only need to set up and activate their iCloud which is available in iOS 5. From their users can now set which particular files they want to back up, it can be mails, contacts, calendars, photos, bookmarks, text messages, notes, documents and many more.
To upgrade to iOS 5, users must connect their device to Mac or PC and follow the onscreen instructions in iTunes.
