Last September 24-25, Nuvali launched a 2-day activity to all the children and teens that are incline to sports particularly baseball, football and touch football to join the annual Nuvali Cup. Tagged as Legend Rising, the Nuvali Cup 2011 brings out the best in all the participants especially in team work and healthy active living. Most of the participants came from different school organizations and varsity group like the Ateneo baseball team and Manila Soccer Academy. Present in the event were Philippine Azkal’s Anton del Rosario, Philippine Volcanoes Women’s Cassie Umali and Cebu Dolphins Baseball Team’s Miggy Corcuerra.
The two day activity will test the courage, teamwork and sportsmanship in every team until one emerges champion in the three categories. School organizations and varsity teams joining the competition include De La Salle Zobel, Paref Southridge, Paref Woodrose, Ateneo de Manila, Canlubang Little League, De La Salle Lipa, Alabang Tigers, Bent, University of the Philippines-Diliman, Faith Academy, Don Bosco, Nomads, Makati Football School, Manila Soccer Academy, Miriam College and many more.
The competition happened simultaneously. There’s almost four courts for the football games, one for baseball and one for the touch football. Everything was set perfectly at the Nuvali field. Aside from having a sports event, Nuvali wanted to give way to the rising athletes living in the southern metro and wanted to develop it at the early each through the Nuvali Cup. It all give chances to the residents of the area to interact with one another and gain new friends though a healthy active outdoor sports on a weekend.
