As Glee Season 3 premieres on Star World, ETC and JackTV last September 21, 20th Century Fox also brings the most anticipated Glee the 3D Movie in all cinemas nationwide. This docu-concert movie of Glee will run for only two weeks and it is available on both 3D and regular format. It features Dianna Agron, Chris Colfer, Kevin McHale, Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Heather Morris, Chord Overstreet, Amber Riley, Naya Rivera, Mark Salling, Jenna Ushkowitz, Harry Shum Jr., and Darren Criss.
I’m not a 100% fan of Glee but the way they present songs from theater, classical, contemporary, pop, alternative and old they do it in a way that their audience will love and appreciate it the way I do. Every episode is worth watching aside from the songs but it reflects the lives of every members of the McKinley High Glee Club also known as the New Directions which everyone can relate themselves. While Glee the 3D Movie still have the story flow of the movie it’s a combination of music where the cast members perform some of the hits and new songs which we will appreciate and stories where how the show touches and brings back that confidence to its viewers. I’m happy that the Philippine Movie and Television Review and Classification Board gave the movie a GP or General Patronage classification where it is good for the teens to see the importance of equality and respect which was shown in the stories some audience who were touch by Glee. Which we all know that Glee promotes empowerment, respect and believing on ones talent and capability in life and enjoyed most of the stories aside from the performance.
For those who will be watching, I suggest watch it on 3D because it was directed of the movie was Kevin Tancharoen. He closely collaborated with 3D pioneers and Avatar makers James Cameron and Vincent Pace to bring 3D into fruition while filming the concert during their sold out tours. In an ordinary moviegoer perspective like me you will appreciate the crispier and detailed images in 3D especially with the visual effects and the colorful clothes of the cast.
What to expect from the movie? Of course the songs Teenage Dream, Don’t Stop Believin and Born This Way that we all love in the TV will be performed there aside from many surprises that awaits the viewers. So for those who wanted to enjoy a less than 2 hours of music and inspirational stories go and watch Glee the 3D Movie in cinemas near you.
