LG Electronics (LG) is furthering its commitment to “Green and Healthy Living” by forging partnerships with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) to take a greater role in advocating for energy-efficiency at home.
“In the 21st Century, global and local companies must step up and take a greater role in working to protect the environment,” said Jose Maria Lorenzo Tan, vice-chair and chief executive officer of WWF. “We laud LG for understanding this commitment and what it means to their employees and consumers.”
The joint partnership is set to promote WWF’s My1thing campaign – a year-long commitment to promote energy-efficiency in its business operations and other energy efficiency initiatives.
LG makes homes more eco-friendly with energy-efficient and health-conscious home appliances. Under a broad-range of “green” products, LG’s home appliances offer not just high energy savings, but health benefits and greater convenience as well. Key to providing all these benefits are LG’s innovative core technologies: the Inverter V for split-type air conditioners, Inverter Linear Compressor for refrigerators and Inverter Direct DriveTM for washing machines.
The My1thing commitment is part of a larger campaign that strives to deliver on our message of ‘Life is Good When It’s Green,” said Seung Chul Lee, president and managing director of LG Electronics Philippines. “This commitment is not just about saving the Earth; it is about redefining and observing green living in our spaces and homes to uplift the lives of our consumers.”
