Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, and Zach Galifianakis are back in another crazy adventure now set in Bangkok, Thailand for the film “The Hangover Part II”. The comedy movie which was the sequel of the 2009’s The Hangover was directed and written by Todd Phillips, produced by Legendary Pictures and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. Here in the Philippines, it will be shown in selected cinemas beginning June 8, and given with R-18 classification due to some sensitive scenes in the movie.
From Las Vegas 2 years ago, Stu (Helms), Phil (Cooper), and Alan (Galifianakis) encountered the same incident again in Bangkok, Thailand with a bigger and wilder adventure of their lives. Now with Teddy (Mason Lee), the younger brother of Stu’s fiancée Lauren (Jamie Chung) joining them on this escapade. Now Leslie Chow (Ken Jeong) joining the gang after Alan befriended him in Las Vegas it will be major “hangover” to all which they must recount all the things that happened to them including the monk, monkey and the night at a kathoey club.
The film is a 100% classified R-18 due to sensitive scenes and languages. Knowing it is “Hangover” movie; expect things that are way beyond our imaginations and I putting emphasis on the term beyond. The humor was great and it is worth your money, but of course for those somewhat conservative there are scenes that may violate or offended their “moral” side.
In terms of the story line and flow, I like the way how the scenes where executed and connected it with flashbacks. The chemistry of Cooper, Helms, and Galifianakis in the film was perfect collaboration of different kinds of characters/personality in a crazy group. Cooper is the cool and good looking guys, Helms is the nerdy average guy and Galifianakis is the crazy-paranoid guy who wanted to try everything without knowing what will be the effect. But of course, in the end The Hangover movie is not a nerdy or morality movie, it is a kind of movie which we just want to enjoy and laugh despite of some lewd scenes that really shocked me, which everyone should check on that.
The Hangover Part II will be shown in selected cinemas nationwide beginning June 8, produced by Legendary Pictures and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.
