Filipinos have their own way of killing down their stress and depression with what they call comfort food; well in my case Buco/Buko Pandan Salad is one of that comfort food that really kicks that blues away. Nathaniel’s Bakeshop is known with their famous Buco Pandan Salad and other delicacies that are perfect for pasalubong. The restaurant originates in San Fernando, Pampanga and has only one store in Metro Manila and it is located at Timog Avenue, corner Panay Avenue in Quezon City.
Buco Pandan (Cup – P50, ¼ Gallon – P235 and ½ Gallon – P450). Enjoy the frozen buco pandan with pandan jelly, nata de coco, coconut shreds, and milk to cool down that summer heat and stress. If you’re five-six in a group and planning to buy a cup each, but a ¼ gallon instead it will save you 2-3 pesos each.
Aside from the buco pandan, Nathaniel’s is known with their Puto Pao (P110/6 pcs.) and Maja Blanca (P115/tray or PP220/bilao). They also serve siopao, pansit, tarts, pie, siomai and other sweet delicacies. Before their store is located at Panay Avenue in front of Clownz now they transferred in a bigger area near BPI Timog Avenue Branch.
