After A Christmas Carol in 2009 and Yes Man in 2008, Jim Carrey is back on the big screen with another live action comedy film based from Richard and Florence Atwater children book entitled Mr. Popper’s Penguins. The film was directed by Mark Waters and also stars Carla Gugino, Madeline Carroll, Angela Lansbury, Philip Baker Hall and Dominic Chianese. It will be showing in all cinemas nationwide beginning June 17.
The film follows the realization of Thom Popper (Carrey), a workaholic New York businessman who has neglected the woman he loves and his children, in order to pursue his real estate career with a relentless drive. His life drastically changes when six Gentoo penguins was delivered in his apartment and became a full-time caretaker of the cute but chaotic creatures that let him recognize the importance of the life he took for granted.
Mr. Popper’s Penguins will open in Phil. cinemas on June 17 from 20th Century Fox. Visit 20th Century Fox (Philippines) on Facebook and on www.youtube.com/20thcenturyfoxph for promos and latest clips.
