This will be the first time here in the Philippines that Canadian-based entertainment company Cirque du Soleil will be presenting Varekai in Manila on June 22 to July 8. The performance of Cirque du Soleil will happen at the Blue-and-Yellow Grand Chapiteau (Big Top) in Rizal Park.
Set deep within a forest populated by fantastical creatures, Varekai will mesmerize you with its unique acts like Icarian Games, Aerial Straps, Russian Swings, and Georgian Dance. With graceful and breathtaking performance of Cirque du Soleil last March 3, Hoopla, promoter of Varekai in Manila mentioned that the ticket selling of the performance was overwhelming.
Varekai was first performed last April 2002, in Montreal, Canada and as of now it was performed in almost 60 cities in over 15 different countries around the world. Before the Philippine premiere of Cirque du Soleil presents Varekai in Manila on June 22 to July 8, they already performed in Taipei, Taiwan and it’s currently performed in Seoul, South Korea.
