Ayala Mall Cinemas brings another movie that will touch everybody’s heart and inspire its viewers not to give up in reaching their dreams. Secretariat is an inspirational movie that is based from the life of Penny Chenery Tweedy played by Diane Lane and her horse named Big Red who tried their luck at the 1973 Triple Crown competition. The movie is directed by Randall Wallace. It is showing in Ayala Mall Cinemas beginning December 1.
The movie follows the story of Penny who is a simple housewife, who took the responsibility of fulfilling a promise to her bed ridden father. With her wit and confidence she struggled to go beyond on that promise and bring home the pride for her family.
Not being bias about the movie and to Diane Lane who is one of my favorite actresses after her daring role in the 2002’s Unfaithful. The material (storyline) was simple but the execution was great and has depth. For those who wanted to be inspired, Secretariat is the movie to watch and should not been missed because of was been categorized as a feel good movie, though at first it can be more dramatic to adrenalin rushed ending.
In terms of the storyline, it’s a feel good movie and we all know what a feel good movie ends. But honestly, I enjoyed how it was delivered in terms of the phasing of the scenes and the mixture of the characters. A movie, which everyone should be watching and wanted to be inspired in their lives.
The Secretariat is now showing in Ayala Malls Cinemas (Glorietta 4 & Greenbelt 3).
