20th Century Fox and Warner Bros Pictures brings Golden Globe Awards nominee James Franco in a biographical film produced, co-written and directed by Mr. Slumdog Millionaire himself Danny Boyle entitled 127 hours. The film was based the true story of Aron Ralston, a mountain climber that was stuck in a boulder within 5 day in Robbers Roost, Utah last 2003. The movie will be shown in all cinemas here in the Philippines by February 2011.
The film follows the story of Aron (Franco) in 2003 where during his hiking a boulder falls on his arm and traps him in an isolated canyon in Utah. The next five days of his fight for survival, he recounted and re-examines his life and realizes the mistakes he made.
127 hours is nominated 68th Golden Globe Awards that will happen in January 16, 2011. Nomination includes James Franco for Best Actor for Motion Drama Picture, Danny Boyle and Simon Beaufoy for Best Screen Play and A. R. Rahman for Best Original Score. Originally 127 Hours was released in late November, but in the Philippines it will be screened in all cinemas by Februay 2011. The film was produced by 20th Century Fox to be distributed by Warner Bros.
