Warner Bros Pictures with New Line Cinema brings to the big screen Drew Barrymore and Justine Long in a film that tells the story of putting trust to someone you love especially on a long distance relationship – Going the Distance. The romance comedy film is directed by Nanette Burstein, an Academy Award nominated documentary film maker which this film will be her debut on main stream cinema, and the movie is written by Geoff LaTulippe.
Going the Distance is about the couple named Erin (Barrymore) and Garrett (Long) whose relationship sparked over a beer in a bar one night and extended over breakfast the following day. The relationship grew over the summer but Erin needs to go back to San Francisco where is studying while Garrett needs to stay for work at New York City. They were forced to do alternatives in order to keep the flame of their relationship but with the stories and speculations of Garrett’s friends and the overprotectiveness of Erin’s sister they end up doubting each other. The challenge begins as they continue to stuggle against the temptations to make their love and relationship strong.
Going the Distance also stars Jason Sudeikis, Charlie Day and Christina Applegate with creative team; director in photography Eric Steelberg, production designer Kevin Kavanaugh, editor Peter Teschner, costume designer Catherine Marie Thomas, and composer Mychael Danna. The film will be showing in all cinemas nationwide beginning August 27, distributed by Warner Bros Pictures.
