Like we all expected Harry Potter 6: Half Blood Prince is the saddest and emotional among the 7 books that JK Rowling created for the Harry Potter series. The movie like other Harry Potter film, the Half Blood Prince is not that glossy or warm in terms of texture maybe because it is the way how Warner Bros wanted to deliver the theme of the movie and that is tragic. For those Harry Potter virgins, yes someone died on this film and it is Albus Dumbledore, the headmaster of Hogwarts School of magic and wizardry. Hogwarts is the school where Harry Potter, and his two friends Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley is studying.
For those who loved book 6 or The Half Blood Prince, yes I feel your disappointment especially if you wanted to see the funeral of Dumbledore in the movie, unfortunately its not there. The movie ends on the discovery that the horxus which the medallion that Dumbledore and Harry found in the cave is fake. Again like what I say on my entries about books being adapted to a movie, film makers and producers has the right to change or purge several scenes to trim down the movie to 2 hours or 2 hours and 30 minutes, they don’t want to take much time of the viewers unless they wanted to bore them. Aside from trimming, film makers also do this for visual aesthetics for the movie, including the texture and the graphics.
Harry Potter 6: The Half Blood Prince is now showing on worldwide, also on 3D IMAX on SM MALLS for visual 3D experience for the selected scenes, and on Trinoma THX for those who wanted heart pumping and adrenalin rushing Dolby sounds.
