ABS-CBN has confirmed its first two cases of influenza A (H1N1) flu virus. Both employees are already safe and recovering. Company officials have been closely coordinating with the Department of Health on the cases and have also conducted contact tracing to check on the health conditions of the people who may have been exposed to the two individuals.
ABS-CBN has implemented preventive measures internally and waged intensive information campaign that will help its employees guard against the flu virus. The company has conducted face-to-face briefings, released regular H1N1 flu advisory updates, installed hand sanitizers at key points, offered regular flu vaccination for employees and their dependents, and conducted random body temperature checking of studio audiences and visitors entering the ABS-CBN vicinity. The ABS-CBN compound was also disinfected over the weekend.
